Breakfasts that are currently provided at Finca Del Sol have been mostly sourced locally ensuring you have the freshest and healthiest start to your day. We also have an established apiculture practice and are producing our own honey called Miel Del Sol. Feel free to ask for a tasting during breafast at the Finca. We are currently working on a future Permaculture design that would enable us to grow all the food on our farm. All of our staff on the farm are locals to Ometepe and most have been with us for many years, many of whom tend to their own farms in their spare time as well.
Our main focus on the farm is to become closer with nature through the practice of sustainable food production and conscientious eating. The modern world has lost the understanding of what it means to grow and harvest our own food and why it is important. Our future goal is to become completely food sufficient on the farm and also share our produce with local food programs and farmers markets.
